Q: What Product Information Should You Look For?

A: Look for these 3 criteria no matter the product:

  1. A complete label.
Information like: milligram potency, type of hemp extract, list of ingredients, suggested usage and dosage, tamper seal, disclaimer statement, and QR code or website link for more supporting information.
  2. Access to third-party laboratory certificates of analysis.
Credible lab testing ensures the product is what the label claims. Analysis should be available through the company’s website.
For consumable products, this not only includes cannabinoid potency, but tests for residual solvents, heavy metals, and mycotoxins.
These tests insure you do not consume any of these potentially harmful substances.
  3. Ingredient sourcing information.
Traceability is important for products containing hemp extract.
Does the company know where it’s product ingredients come from or how they are made?
Only the grower and extractor know this.
